Embark on this extraordinary 7-day journey from Lake Geneva to Nice, spanning approximately 712 km and featuring 31 mountain passes with a total altitude gain of 17,485 m! You will be accompanied by two of our experienced cycling guides, supported by a dedicated backup vehicle. Airport transfers are included, along with half-board accommodation throughout the route.

Day 1 - Thonon-les-Bains to La Clusaz

We begin our adventure with a warm-up along the scenic shores of Lake Geneva, leading us to the first ascent, the Col des Moises (1118 meters). Immerse yourself in tranquil pine forests and breathtaking Alpine foothills as you navigate enchanting cols, including Col de Terramont (1080 meters), Jambaz (1027 meters), and Col de la Ramaz (1557 meters). Conclude your day at the famous Grand Colombière (1613 meters). This journey promises stunning landscapes and rewarding climbs, ensuring an unforgettable experience for all adventurers.

Day 2 -  La Clusaz to Bourg-St-Maurice

Today's ride is absolutely breathtaking as we traverse some of the most iconic regions of the Alps. We complete the final few kilometers of the Col des Aravis (1487m) before entering the Savoie region and taking on the Col de Saisies (1633m), famous for its spectacular descent into Beaufort, a town renowned for its delicious cheese. After that, we tackle the challenging Col du Pré (1740m) before crossing the dam to tackle the relatively gentle Cormet de Roselend (1968m). Throughout the afternoon, we'll be treated to stunning vistas and an exhilarating 26km descent to our hotel on the outskirts of Bourg-St-Maurice.

Day 3 - Bourg-St-Maurice to Valloire

Today we experience the majestic Col de l’Iseran at 2770 meters with a challenging 47-kilometer climb.  After conquering the col, enjoy an exhilarating descent into the picturesque village of Lanslebourg. Then, ascend to the breathtaking Côte d’Aussois at 1519 meters for stunning views.

We continue our journey to the iconic Col du Télégraphe at 1566 meters, one of the most celebrated climbs in the Alps. Todays adventure concludes at the charming mountain resort of Valloire, where you can relax after a day of unforgettable challenges.

Day 4 - Valloire to Vars

Experience an exhilarating day of cycling through iconic Alpine climbs! We start with the challenging Col du Galibier at 2,642 meters, facing a tough final kilometer with a 10% gradient—an effort rewarded by a thrilling descent into Briançon. Next, we tackle the historic Col d'Izoard, standing at 2,361 meters, where monuments honor cycling legends. After another exciting descent, we ascend the breathtaking Col de Vars at 2,109 meters, surrounded by stunning Alpine meadows. We'll pause at Vars-les-Claux for a well-deserved break at 1,823 meters before continuing our adventure in the majestic Alps!

Day 5 - Vars to Valberg

Today we start by tackling the final kilometers of the Col de Vars (2105m). After an exhilarating 20km descent and a quick dash along the valley, we arrive at Jausiers, nestled quietly at the base of today's main event – the highest paved road in Europe, the legendary Cime de la Bonette (2802m). It's a long 23km climb, but it remains steady, and you'll be rewarded with an incredible 53km descent from the summit, winding down to St-Sauveur-sur-Tinée. Just one more daring, cliff-hugging ascent awaits: the Col de la Couillole (1678m) before you finally reach the iconic ski town of Valberg for a well-deserved rest.

Day 6 - Valberg to Nice

 We begin today with a breathtaking descent through the Gorges du Cian, followed by a climb up the Col de Saint-Raphaël (876m) and a traverse through some beautiful countryside that gradually becomes drier and distinctly Mediterranean. The final major pass of the Raid Alpine is the Col de Bleine (1439m), leading into a thrilling 27km descent to St-Vallier-de-Thiey. Just one more small ascent remains, the Col du Pilon (786m), before you reach the suburban Côte d’Azur. Make your way to the coast and onward to the hotel for your celebratory glass of bubbles!
