Zone6 Cycling was founded in 2019 by Steve Whittington-Coleman, a former GB international cyclist and Olympic squad member, to deliver high-performance coaching for competitive road cyclists.
Steve’s racing career was marked by exceptional talent—at one point, he held the fourth-highest tested power-to-weight ratio in Great Britain. He was on track to compete in the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona when a serious racing accident abruptly ended his Olympic dream. A lifesaving operation resulted in the loss of part of his left lung, altering the trajectory of his athletic journey.
After a long and determined recovery, Steve returned to the sport he loved, racing in France with the prestigious Vendee U team under Jean-René Bernaudeau. However, by the end of 1993, the physical limitations imposed by his injury led him to retire from professional competition.
Today, Steve channels his passion for cycling into coaching and sharing unforgettable riding experiences. His love for sunny miles on the bike naturally drew him to Mallorca—Europe’s cycling paradise—and in 2024, Zone6 expanded with the launch of Zone6 Cycling Holidays, offering guided rides, coaching, and tailored cycling adventures on the island.
