Steve began cycling in the mid 80's after getting a Raleigh road bike for his 13th birthday and was rarely seen at home again!!  He began racing and showed a lot of promise on a bike, eventually racing internationally for Great Britain and gaining selection for the Barcelona Olympics in 1992.  unfortunately, a serious crash and resulting lung operation ended his career.

Nowadays, Steve loves nothing more than simply riding his bike in the sun as much as possible!!  Not naturally built for climbing though, he still loves guiding around the Sierra De Tramuntana and leading groups up Sa Calobra.  When there are strong head-winds though, you'll be grateful to sit on his wheel!!
